Purpose
Testing of Gulmay generators to ensure 100% quality/process compliance
Location
Byfleet, Surrey, UK
Key Responsibilities
- Testing associated components & generators in accordance with test specs, completing detailed test reports, inspecting to test specs.
- Ability to fault find to component level, that includes PCB’s, identify the root cause, record findings into the INCR data log.
- Ensure all testing is completed on time, as per production schedule.
- Support regular maintenance of test equipment also comply with 5S discipline of working areas.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety practices and company policies.
Essential Requirements
- Proven ability to communicate effectively on all levels and team player.
- Proven experience of working with analogue & digital circuitry.
- Experience of fault finding to component level.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar test engineer role.
- Experience in a complex, low/medium volume test cell.
- Knowledge of high voltage generator equipment or similar engineered products would be an advantage.
- Good PC skills, including MS Office and Excel.
- PCB knowledge is essential; able to read circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and follow written instructions.
- Experience of problem-solving and continuous improvements.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn.
- Flexible approach to inter-department support when required.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all departments and all levels.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, lifting product within H&S regulations.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience of working with engineering developing the testing of new product, creating test plans.
- Familiarity with test bench equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMM), and power supply units (PSU).
- Experience with radiation testing & compliance procedures.
- Preferred HND/HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
